Coach Gayle
Like many people, I have struggled with self-confidence and body image. I felt stuck and frustrated. Many of my habits felt good in the moment, but ultimately kept me from accessing my best self. It wasn't until I finally sought help that I found my way off the struggle bus. With professional support and accountability, I shed 30 pounds and began to care more deeply about my daily energy and overall health. My accountability group helped me release harmful habits, and find deep, lasting confidence.
Those years of struggle and then the breakthroughs in my personal health journey led me to a career as a health coach and fitness trainer. I offer compassionate accountability and acceptance, meeting my clients where they are without judgements. Using a results-oriented approach, in my 10+ years of health coaching and fitness training I am proud to have:
Coached and trained more than 235 people
Helped 25 WhyPowered client friends who have shed more than 50 pounds each (one of them is 143 pounds lighter!)
Earned a 95% client satisfaction rating
Created a high success rate for weight loss sustainability: 85% for 2 years
A cornerstone of sustainable, whole health is a balanced life. Outside of my coaching work, I find joy in connecting with my loving and supportive husband, my parents, brother, and sister. I love dark chocolate and cooking. I engage in a daily practice of movement and gratitude. I’ve rolled up my sleeve 152 times (and counting!) to share my good health through platelet and whole blood donations. And our clowder of four cats, three "elders" and a rescued black kitten we named Lucky, keeps me smiling.

“When we make small, conscious and intentional choices for our health on a daily basis, it adds up to big, positive changes over time. Finding a place of balance and moderation with eating and exercise habits isn’t easy, but it is possible. The health rewards are worth the effort.”
from Town & Style Magazine
“Working with Gayle never feels like work. She is intuitive, energetic and resourceful. Her clients’ results speak for themselves. Gayle has helped countless women change the trajectory of their lives by shifting their mindsets and habits. Her results transcend the scale, as her clients say they went from loathing to loving themselves. Nonetheless, the results on the scale are remarkable: one client has lost 100 pounds without diet extremes or calorie counting, and plenty more have shed more than 50 pounds each.”
in the best-selling book, Bright Spots
“Health is wealth. It’s easy to take for granted, but we can’t wait for health threats before we take steps to preserve it. We can’t wait for a pandemic, diabetes, or other serious health threat to prioritize our self-care. We must take action every day.”
