When Progress Stalls

Is it time to pivot instead of pushing harder?

When Progress Stalls: Why It May Be Time to Pivot and Not Push Harder

When you're not getting the results you want in your weight loss and wellness improvement journey, it's often a sign to pause and assess what's no longer working.

Our first instinct is frequently to push harder. We tell ourselves we need more willpower, more discipline, or a stricter plan. But what if the answer isn't working harder?

What if the answer is working differently?

Sometimes growth requires pivoting.

Sometimes it requires a new perspective.

Sometimes it requires giving yourself permission to evolve.

The habits, strategies, and beliefs that got you to where you are today may not be the same ones that will carry you forward. That's true in life, in business, and especially in health.

Perhaps you've been trying to lose weight using approaches that worked in your 30s or 40s, only to find that your body responds differently now. Maybe you've been relying on motivation to fuel change, when what you really need are supportive systems and sustainable habits. Or perhaps you've been focusing entirely on food while overlooking the impact of stress, sleep, mindset, and movement.

When results stall, it's easy to view it as failure.

I encourage you to view it as feedback.

Your body is communicating. Your current approach is providing valuable information. The question is: Are you listening?

The most successful women I partner with aren't necessarily the ones who have the most knowledge. They're the ones who stay curious. They are willing to experiment, learn, adjust, and grow. They understand that wellness isn't about perfection—it's about paying attention and making thoughtful course corrections along the way. And loving yourself thru it all.

Think about areas of your life where you've experienced growth. Chances are you didn't get there by doing the same thing over and over. You adapted. You learned. You evolved.

Your wellness journey deserves that same flexibility.

If you're feeling stuck, consider asking yourself:

Sometimes the smallest shift in perspective creates big breakthroughs. You don't have to stay stuck in a cycle of frustration, starting over, or blaming yourself when progress slows. (WhyPowered client friend Jean got unstuck and shed more than 100 pounds. Hear her story HERE.) Instead, use this moment as an opportunity to reassess, realign, and reconnect with what your body truly needs.

Your next chapter of health may not require more effort.

It may simply require a fresh approach.
