Domino Thoughts
One negative thought can start a chain
that brings down our mood, motivation and choices.
“I blew it with that dessert; I might as well enjoy another one.”
“Nothing I do seems to make the scale budge. I don’t see the point in even trying.”
“I just don’t have time to workout today, so I guess I’m skipping it again.”
… and eventually our whole day has toppled over.
But the opposite can be true as well.
One encouraging thought.
“The scale didn’t change this week, but I know with consistent action, I’ll reach my goals.”
One moment of self-compassion.
“That wasn’t a great choice, but beating up on myself about it is not helpful.”
One reminder that progress matters more than perfection.
“I got triggered at dinner, but I’m making small daily efforts that are adding up to positive change.”
These thoughts create success momentum that supports healthier choices, calmer reactions, and greater resilience.
